Condolences

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marissa Manos, sister of JRC member Sheila Meyer (Arnold Pritsker), aunt of Mari and Danny Meyer, beloved partner of Carmen Gallucci. She died on March 12, 2024. Funeral services for Marissa will took place on Friday, March 15th at Weinstein & Piser with burial to follow at Shalom Memorial Park in Skokie. Shiva was held following the service and continues on Saturday, March 16 from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry McDermott, father of Reese Gratch (Joel) and JRC preschool teacher, Janet McDermott (Joe Aichholzer), grandfather of Stephanie and Becca Gratch. Jerry died the morning of March 12^th at the age of 84 years old. A visitation celebrating Jerry's life will be held Monday, March 18th from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Donnellan Family Funeral Services.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Jacoby, mother-in-law of JRC member, Ron Deitch (Merle Welch), mother of Beth Jacoby Deitch of blessed memory, grandmother of Jonathan Deitch. Doris died on Monday, March 11 at the age of 102. A funeral was held on Thursday in West Babylon, NY. 

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Mendelson, brother of JRC member, Dan Mendelson (Scott Cook), husband of Pam Jensen, and father of Jenna Mendelson, Sarah (Davis) Hunt, and Lauren Mendelson. Steve died on Thursday, March 14 at the age of 64. A funeral service will be held this Sunday, March 17th at 2:00 pm at Chicago Jewish Funerals in Buffalo Grove.
